C’mon guys!! You have it all, almost right..This WAS at the Sacramento OHV at a Golden State Nat. Sorry. he didnt crash…the seat just fell off. This was a 125 KTM that had not yet been sent to the states, and the seat fasteners were not the best. It was when I built the alloy tank for it, that it really began to be a problem (look close and you will see that it is an alloy tank)Eventually I fixed all that.
On this day, it was a CMC Golden State National and nearly all of the factories sent up there hotshots to put Magoo away, once and for all. Magoos lap tmes were faster with out the seat..(he he he) He won both motos..I now forget where he placed in the 500′s, I think he was second behind Pat Richter. It was a good day for “Gooey”

I remember this… I tell this story all the time. We were out at Prarie City ohvp “the new Hangtown” (or for you old timers, McGills) Danny crashed pretty hard in the first turn, got up and his seat and rear fender was gone…. no worries, just get up, pin it, and stand up for the rest of the race. no problem… this dude was awesome!!!
Btw. I saw Danny race many, many times and I never saw anybody faster… Nobody!
