IRHP stands for International Riders Helping Hople, a non-profit organization created to educate amateur motorcyce/motocross riders about safety, equal access, anit-drug awareness, and environmental appreciation.

Founded by Danny “Magoo” Chandler in 1997, IRHP has reached over 100,000 children and adults at schools, workshops, races, and community events.

IRHP’s Mission:

  • To increase off-road rider safety by educating riders and their families about proper equipment usage, appropriate riding techniques, and preventative safety measures.
  • To enlighten communities about equal access in daily and sporting life for persons of all abilities and ages.
  • To foster a spirit of cooperation and protection of the environment, especially in respect to off-road sporting events.

How IRHP Reaches Communities: To best carry these important messages, IRHP tailors its presentations for each appearance request. Presentations range from 10 to 100 people at schools, racing events, community events, special interest seminars, and workshops.

Rider Safety- A skilled and knowledgeable rider is a safer rider. IRHP provides hands- on demonstrations and the use and understanding of safety skills and equipment. Emphasis is placed on injury prevention, such as spinal injuries, along with drug and alcohol prevention. IRHP’s safety programs reach all ages-with a primary emphasis on young people and schools.

Equal Access- Enlightening communities to the needs of persons with disabilities. IRPH strongly believes and advocates equal access for all people, whether it is access to a public facility, crossing the street, or going off-road riding in specially designed equipment.

Hospital Visits and Day Trips- IRHP strongly believes that each individual and organization has a role as a community citizen. With this in mind, IRHP has always made visitations to seriously ill and traumatically injured patients as a regular part of its agenda. As IRHP grows, so does its commitment to continue to provide outings , when appropriate, and visits to those patients in need of support and hope.
