1982 Motocross Des Nations Wohlen, Switzerland 500cc

In September of 2008, Magoo traveled to Europe to attend the 2008 Motocross Of Nations. While at the race, he was contacted by a man named Dave King, who introduced Danny to the best footage in existence of Magoo’s triumphant run at the 1982 running of the historic event. These tapes had not been seen in 25 years, until now.

Each DVD is a full hour long unedited piece on that particular race, presented exactly as found. The Trophy Des Nations 250cc DVD captures the first round of racing, with the Motocross Des Nations 500cc DVD telling the epic tale of the second race, held the following weekend.

Both DVD’s are fully commentated and have the feel of a modern day sports broadcast (as done in 1982) featuring rider interviews, practice session footage, motos shown in their entirety and plenty of old school style.

The DVD’s retail for $24.95 a piece, but work best as a set for $39.95 + Shipping/Handing. A true must have for any old school MX enthusiast or Danny Magoo fan. As always, all proceeds go to support Magoo and the causes he promotes.

In celebration of his victory, Honda ran an ad campaign featuring the tagline, “Danny “Magoo” Chandler – Hang ‘Em High at Hangtown”. This T-shirt pays homage to the victory and classic ads.
