ForumOver the years we have heard so many classic Magoo stories and tall tales that we figured it was time to start collecting them all in one place. The forum page here at dannymagoo.com is meant to do just that. Feel free to post your own old school pictures and stories of Magoo, old school moto in general, or anything else that can somehow be seen as roughly related. As with all things Magoo, anything goes, really. 277 comments to Forum |

I can remember so many stories of Magoo. I was at Budds Creek for the MXN in 2007 with the Villopotos and Ryan had just won his first moto and we were walking back to the hauler and here was Danny, I told Ryans mom theres Magoo and she said do you know him I want to meet him he was awesome! It was special!!! I have been around MX for 45 years and have seen every rider ride in person….but you just can’t explain it unless you saw it with your own eyes. One of kind.
I’ll see you in Heaven someday!
I was there in 2007 with magoo and it was quite impressive that how many fan’s magoo still had after not being at the motocross des nation for 25 year’s.
Thank you Dave Gomez
I remember Magoo on the starting line in front of me at Sand Hill on his CZ 250 as a novice, and will never forget his dad using a milk crate to hold the bike up until Danny literally pinned the throttle and left the starting line. Met him a few years later at Sears Point when Ron Self and I were hanging out after the race. Magoo was way ahead of his time, a nobody today could touch him for pure, raw talent. A true God given gift! A great loss for MX…
Thank you John ,I have not heard the name Ron Self in a long time, like the 70′s dave gomez
I and my guys happened to be looking at the excellent tips from your web site and quickly came up with an awful feeling I never thanked the blog owner for those tips. The boys were for that reason thrilled to read through all of them and have now clearly been making the most of those things. Appreciate your simply being very thoughtful as well as for making a decision on this kind of nice areas millions of individuals are really desperate to understand about. My very own sincere apologies for not expressing appreciation to you sooner.
Back In the Early Eighties I Had A Maico 250 ,On A Practice Day At Matchams Park (England) Danny And Jem Whatley Were Trying Out Some Bikes. At The Time I Didn’t Know Who They Were .I Had Just Bought A Bike For Fun And Motocross Was New To Me.
Matchams Park Has Some Nasty Uphill Whoops And I Was Struggling Badly,I Heard Someone Behind Me And Pulled Over , It Was Danny Clearing Two At A Time At, The Top Of The Hill Was A Sharp Left Turn Downhill Between Two Rows Of Pine Trees He Took Off At The Top Heading Straight for The Trees Then Kicked His Right Leg Out High , Turned The Bike Round In Mid-Air Took One Arm Off The Bars To give A Victory Sign And Gave Me The Biggest Grin I’ve Ever Seen (just Him And Me On An Empty Track)Landing Perfectly And riding Off On the Back Wheel.
I Had A Brief Chat to Him Later , A Real Superstar And So Friendly.
I Only found Out About His Untimely Death Just Now As I Was Mooching Around On Youtube Looking for things to Watch.I Rememember Our Meeting Like It Was Yesterday And I Will Never Forget Him.
